HP intros DreamScreen digital photoframe

How do you access your online photo album or check your Facebook account to see who poked you recently - obviously through your PC or mobile phone.  HP doesn't think so.  With mobile computing platforms shrinking as the time passes, the marriage of connectivity and convergence is warming up nicely these days.  Last week, HP introduced a new range of digital photo frames, DreamScreen, positioning them as 'connected screens'.  Offering 10.2" and 13.3" screen size in 16:9 aspect ratio, the DreamScreens offer all the usual suspects that come with a digital photo frame these days - WiFi, SD card slot, on screen controls, RJ-45 port, etc.  But hey, that's not all.  Remember 'connected screens'?  DreamScreen offers an icon-based eye candy menu (see the image) to give users quick access to some of the most popular sites such as Facebook, Snapfish (online photo sharing) and even Pandora (personalized radio stations online).  There's also a weather app to ensure you don't ruin your weekend trip with your friends.  The releases are limited to the US as of now, but can be expected to hit Asian and European markets pretty soon.  DreamScreen retails for $249 (10.2") and $299 (13.3").  Picture perfect!!!
